A 1994 Fleer Marvel Masterpieces No. 115 Spider-Man original trading card artwork, preliminary sketch, and PSA 10 card by Greg and Tim Hildebrandt topped Heritage Auctions’ Deadcode’s Debut Release Trading Cards and Original Art auction when it sold for $81,250.
The result beat the previous standard for artwork by the Hildebrandt brothers of $52,500, a mark established in November 2024 when Heritage sold The Fellowship, Urshurak promotion, 1979 for $52,500.
“This is an exceptional result for Greg and Tim Hildebrandt who are celebrated artists whose work has been featured in a number of franchises, from Lord of the Rings to Star Wars and Magic: The Gathering,” said Jeremy J.J. Allen, Associate Director of Pop Culture at Heritage Auctions. “It is indicative of their growing popularity among collectors, and reflects the enormous popularity of Spider-Man."
